Someone told me they hated this new "trend" of quotes on pretty pictures or neatly designed, floating all around social media. I understood where she was coming from, since many quotes are not even quoted properly or the picture has nothing to do with pictures itself. But I think it wonderful to see these quotes and proverbs floating around. I think they leave a positive message for those who notice it.
Sometimes the pretty flower pictures with "Live in the moment," is the needed reminder for a mother to slow down and enjoy her children. Or maybe the sunrise with couple walking into it with, "Fight for Love," gives a struggling couple ambition to keep trying. It may seem stupid to others, but for some other person they are just the right words at the right moment. This a trend that actually does no harm, but can help and make people happy. It is something the world could use more off. Here are few of my favorites that floated around facebook.
"I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls."- Audrey Hepburn.
This one is popular. It is simple, but speaks loud. Happy girls are pretty girls. Beauty is placed in such vain things, like to be pretty you must be size 2, with large breasts, with men fawning over you left and right. No, simply be yourself and be happy and you are already gorgeous.
"If you ask me, I think I am a mixture, of what I don't know." -Marilyn Monroe
We all change over time. We can like one thing, then hate the next moments. We grow up, we renew ourselves. There is always something new to learn everyday, which becomes a little part of us. We are not just one title. For me , I am plucky, ambitious, over bearing, loving, out-going, a mother, daughter, etc. The list can go on and and on.
"You can't be brave if you've only had wonderful things happen to you." -Mary Tyler Moore
This one is so very true! Sometimes life has to get a little rough so we can face our fears. You can't run from your problem or expect nothing bad to happen.
These are pretty short. I like long ones, but I find them hard to remember so my favorites tend be shorter. Anyways, what are your favorite quotes?
Until another day,

THoughts on -"Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick"
Another product I wish to share with you all. Rarely do share products but sometimes I do, usually from Influenster, which I did receive this product from, but these are my honest opinions. I never share anything I don't like, because if I didn't like why would want to share it?
First those who know me know I hardly wear lipstick. Those who don't know me, would never meet in public wearing lipstick, why? Because it cracks my lips. I am one of those people who sensitive lips that I react to some lip balms even. (I know pretty sad.) On the few time I have worn lipstick it is because I went ga-ga over the color (the artist inside me) or it was for something special, like a wedding. However, Rimmell London Moisture Renew Lipstick was quiet a little surprise for me.
Please excuse the lopsided lips. My lips are uneven, but that is one flaw I don't want to hide, because it is part of me. No one notices unless I have pictures this close to my lips.
First, very creamy. I tested it on my wrist for a hour to see if I would react, then placed in on lips. Very creamy texture which glides on very smooth. The color was pretty intense the first time I applied. Very bright but liked the fact the it was pigmented and didn't have to reapply sick times to get the actual color of the lipstick. A little goes a long way. So if you want just hint a color I would use a lip brush to apply.
Now just because it says "moisture" somewhere in the title doesn't mean it really does anything for the lips to hydrate or keep moist. Yet, I was very pleased to have soft lips during the wearing period and even after.
The only flaw I would say is I wished it had lasted longer. But I can't really complain about that because most long lasting lipstick or very drying to the lips and leave the feeling sticky and dry.
I would give this product a 4.5 out of 5 stars in my book. It has nice color selection ad love that tha colors are vibrant and the application is the actual color. That is huge thing in my book. One application should be the color not after six time reapplying. Anyways you can find the lipstick I think at Target and places like CVS and Walgreens.
For the price it worth a try. :)
Until another day toodles!

Chocolate Enchantments
So at the end of this month is my Hubby-man and I's anniversary. 4 years we have been married, which may not seem like much, but it means the world to us, since it is somewhat a rare sight to see a young couple still happily married. Sadly we can't do much this year because of budget reasons, (we are paying off our car!!!!! YAY!!!!) so we had to size down.
But watching the movie Frozen and Dark Chocolate cheesecake can't fix! Sadly there is no recipe for this cheesecake because I played it by ear. It started out as normal cheesecake recipe, then I added melted chocolate, then dark chocolate. Then added a ganache and turned out to be this tasty beauty!
Go ahead stare at its tastiness. I would have eaten half of it, but sadly I can't....stupid diet thingy about eating in moderation and junk like that. Whoever said you can't buy happiness didn't have the grocery list of ingredients and extra chocolate to make this!
This relates back to my last post about whimsical days. Making chocolatey desserts and watching movie with the kids cuddling in Hubby's arms. Then running running outside in the bright sun shine!
Anyways, until another day
Blessings and tootles!

Being Whimsical
This is one of those days I blog about something random. That random thing is the word "whimsical". I just like the word. Its sweet, charming, and makes me think of light airy thoughts, like warm cup of chai tea, or walking in the park holding balloons, or make barefoot on the beach and humming a sweet tune. I don't know, it just makes me feel light hearted and happy.
This month has been pretty busy, full of bittersweet things. My parents will be selling their house soon, my brother left for the Marines, and my daughter will be turning 3 this year. Time flies so fast, I feel like I should still be that college girl, sitting in the hall on the floor reading before class starts. Now, I am mother of two, wanting her children to stop growing so fast and missing the walks I had with my brother on our parents road. *sigh*
The word whimsical just made the days happier. Thinking whimsical thoughts of floating balloons, fresh flowers in mason jars, babies laughing and children playing outside, laughing with good friends as we start new adventures.
This was just my thoughts at the moments. You have a whimsical day!

Ps. Please check out my new blog for my photography. I am still a beginner, but love learning. So far pretty good I think. :)

Hobbies Anew
New hobbies are always fun. Its something to escape too when we have a little time to devote too something special to us. I can not fathom how someone can say, "I have not hobbies." What a goofy answer. Of course you have a hobby, it may be you saying, "I don't have a hobby" to everyone, but we all have one. And the wonderful concept about hobbies is we can always change if you grow tired of one or wish to start something new.
This world is filled with some many possibilities. Learn a new language. Try to paint. Try a new recipe. Start reading again. Don't feel discouraged because someone could be better or you might fail at it. If one doesn't work attempt another. Also don't say, "I am talented enough." It is not about being talented it is about enjoying experience of something you enjoy, whether it be the feel of wet clay in your hands or feeling the sweat after a long hike. Go out in the world and do something!
Until another day toodles :)

The Parental Walk of Shame
I am sure every parent has done it. The Walk of Shame, fleeing the store as fast as possible with a screaming child refusing to behave.
Well the other day, I had my turn at the walk of shame. I was at Costco. Knowing full well my daughter had missed her nap, I thought if I indulged her with the abundance of samples, smiles and promise of pizza at the end, it would all work out to be a pleasant trip. She was doing good. A little feisty, but quiet enough to not be noticed by many, all the while her brother is smiling and waving to everyone possible.
Now I think when spoiling your child, now and then is fine, but lines need to be drawn. Like for our family, you can't run around the store without shoes on. Which sadly for me was the last straw for my little "angel" the Grouch. Sitting at the table with her pizza, she wanted to take off without shoes on. My answer of "No" sent a loud scream from her lips. Not just one, but many blood-curdling screams. And of course came all the stares of everyone around us. Every single person who has nothing better to do, but continue to stare and watch the show.
I jumped up ready for my grab everything and run motion, when I was stopped. A Sweet lady about the age of my own mama came up to me and said, " Oh I remember that. My youngest is in high school but I remember doing that with all three of my daughters." I slowed a little feeling much better, but still quick as my daughter let out another shriek. Then I turned to see a man dressed like he was made of money, holding his 2 year old son. He smiled as well and pointed to his child in a gesture of "He does it too. I understand."
When I finally made it too the door ready to leave, a sweet elderly couple answered, "You don't rush dear. All parents go through this."
I was almost in tears when I made it back to the car. Not one, but three times, someone was sweet and reached out in my moment of panic and frustration. I want to say to those three, THANK YOU!!!! Thank you for the encouragement. Thank for not standing there and staring like was spectacle, even when I looked like one.
Why don't we do this more often when parents are in public dealing with unruly child? Especially for the mother juggling groceries and children? Why do we stare and not offer encouragement, even if it is just a smile.Next time this happens offer a kind grin. If you can give the struggling parents a few words of encouragement.
Bless someoneday

Take Bac the Spirit of Giving - Happy Valentine's Day
Not much happens in February, just a strange man-made holiday that forces people to buy cheap cards for their kids to exchange and even pricier gifts for your significant other. At least this is what I hear from a lot the people around me. Honestly I think some of them are the same people who complain about Christmas coming early, but that is beside the point.
So what if it is a man-made holiday "forcing" people to buy gifts? (No one is threatening life, but somehow it is forcing.) Who cares that people have to say something sweet to a loved one? What is so wrong with being loving?
The problem is not the holiday, it is the commercialism, and that is something we deal with everyday. Every where we go, some big company has something to advertise in our faces trying to get us to buy things. And somehow we have let commercialism win. Not just purchasing, but letting them take our holidays. We have let them grey our happy moments of giving. They have dulled our words, lowered out spirits, taken our joy and we let them do it.The fact is, yes big companies play their part, but we are mostly to blame. Instead of making Valentine's day our own, we become lazy, follow some predetermined route and then complain about...
Wake up!!! Be happy! Chocolates, flowers, dates, and gifts make no one happy. It is the heart behind it that does. It is the smile and joy one person has and it being freely given to another that make things awesome!
Now, I am not saying stop buying Hallmark cards. Some people don't have that special touch with words. I am not even saying stop buying the cheesy stuffed animals, or the overpriced chocolates. But stop and make your own choice. Maybe buy her favorite chocolates and then write her love in your own words. Or maybe make up his dream date night, or buy him the chocolates this round. (Its not midnight yet so there is still time. )
But stop wallowing in complaints and not wants, and do something you do want and enjoy giving something to someone you love.
Put thought and heart behind your actions....
God bless
