Flowers and parties

I much to update, however, so little time as of right now, but I thought I would share a picture of some flowers I have been making and share contest from some special party planners and decor enthusiasts I get lots of inspiration from.  I am sure sometime posts back a year or two I posted a picture of one I made before, but no harm in showing them again.
Now after making them for awhile, I have my own pattern I follow, along with the step once the glue is dried I poke a small hole through the center to have a pretty bead or fresh water pearl in the center.
I love making these because the seem like the perfect last minute gift or special touch to a present. But also look great making on and leaving in mason jar to put on display.
This music note one with a tan fresh water pearl in the center is for one of my grandmother's upcoming birthday present along with some chocolates.
I have also been contemplating about making a few for my close friend who is getting married the next few weeks.

Anyways, I also thought I would share this contest I entered. I usually don't post or share things like this, but these people are special. I love following them on facebook and checking up on there websites. They have awesome ideas for parties and great places where you can find supplies for parties.

Anyway it is a chance to win an Ipad mini, and the contest is hosted by Whimsically Detailed. There Facebook page is through this link.
(She is worth following just to see beautiful and inspirational pictures scroll through your Facebook new wall.)

Vlogging and a quick craft!

I am now starting vlog! It would great if you guys checked it out. I thought I get in touch more if maybe you saw my face a litte more. I don;t know. Just tossing it out there. But! I am on my second day of vlogging so give it watch. No worries, no 10-15 minutes videos. Just a few minutes if you have time to spare. :)

Anyways, today I was on pinterest searching for ideas to make gifts for my friend and I came upon this.
I thought, "What a great christmas present!" But of course, I jazzed it up. Hopefully, my friend whom I am giving this too doesn't see it or read this blog post. :P Here's my version.

I had fun making it. Any person who scrapbooks would see how easily its done. Even if you don't scrap book it still pretty nifty and quick to make. The best part isyou use a dry erase marker to leave a note on it for your loved one! My pictures below is really bad. I only had a dried out green one to test it out. Works great though .:)
Anyways. How I made mine was with a glue stick and ribbon and left over paper flowers I had.

The only thing I would say is to use ink to distress and antqiue the edges of your paper. It makes the entire piece look finished and character. :)
And here is the finished product! She is going to love it!

Anyways try it yourself. Its pretty easy.

Baby sock bouquet!

Babies! So cute! And the baby showers! Oh so sweet and exciting. A new mama, basking in pregnancy glow.
But one of the things I find hard about baby showers is getting a gift. Sure, you can run to their registered store and pick out a few items, but then you start to wonder. How many baby blankets does the new mama and baby going to get? And sure you can get a cute outfit but its hard to pick a size. You don't want to get the baby something that he could never wear because he already has a mountain of new born clothes. Nor do you want to get something that mama has to keep and store for 6 months to 2 years before he can wear it. So one of things I like giving is baby sock bouquets! Little baby socks rolled up to look like rose, add some fake leaves and you have it made.
I was a new mama once and going to be again at the end of December. The one thing I never had enough of was baby socks. And when I did, I always lost them. And when you are a new mama nursing a tini newborn, who has the time to wash baby socks? much less find and match them! So I liked to have an endless supply of them. So this baby shower gift is nifty, nice on the wallet, and helps a new mama to have an endless sock supply so she doesn't have to sock hunt! She will find them when she does. (Mine almost always where under my bed or in the fridge...don't ask....hormones!)
This one is done in pink, because I have a friend do in October. Hopefully she doesn't read this blog post. :) The socks are just rolled then ajusted a little, before I take tire rap a few time around the bottom for a stem.

I put mine in a mason jar and stuffed green and white sockes at the bottom. Add fake leaves, then place in a cute baby bag or give as is. You can a bow or other greenery if you desire.
You can even add little recieving blanket around the jar like a pretty wrapped pot. That would be cute. Have fun with it.
Anywhoalls, Until another day
