Over the Waterfalls!...+ 5 tips for Niagara Falls

It was gorgeous! The view breathtaking! Everyday I stood waiting for the elevator on the 19th floor looking down the horse shoe shaped falls that made my heart speed each time I stared at them. And of course, being a mother, I was at least a mile away from it, but I would clutch my Baby Boy so tight, feeling like some evil magical force would somehow pick him and send him over!

I would defiantly say the Niagara Falls is a haunting beauty indeed. The air was so fresh and the water so blue. But the Falls being so large and the river's deep indigo so vast, you can't help but have a tinge of that fearful excitement!

However, when we were not gazing at Nature's wonders, we were off being the dorky tourists with our cameras and shopping for the perfect, "I was in Canada" t-shirt.

1.) Learn basic French lingo. Like, "Excuse me" and "Thank you". Since Canada speaks both English and French you sometimes run into those people who speak mainly French. A few words can get you a long way and also stay in their graces.

2.) Follow the traffic lights! It doesn't matter how long it takes for that little walking person light to come on. If you step off the sidewalk to cross the road before your time, some car WILL honk their horn at you!

3.) Go ahead and say hello to someone. People come to Niagara Falls from all over the world and for some reason no says hello to each other. Even if their is a language barrier, acknowledging that someone exists makes them feel better and makes both of your day.

4. ) Wear comfy shoes. I watched all these girls walking up and down the hills in heels. It didn't matter if it was a wedge or kitten heel, they at some point complained or had to sit down every 30 feet to give their feet a break. A comfy pair of sneakers can carry you all day. :)

5.)A stroller!!! I know this is more for people with little children or babies, but seriously. First day I forgot my stroller and thought I could wing it....NO! Always have a stroller because their is no way you can balance baby, bag, and camera while walking up and down hills. Even in my baby carrier I strapped to my body, at some point you will get tired and a stroller with save you from back pain.

And I had just had to post a picture of my bro with my baby boy. Baby boy looks so thrilled to be next a large moose.:P
Anyways until another day!
