Upon New Years

So the tree sits like an ancient icon of Christmas past. The trash can still collects remnants of decorative paper of gifts unwrapped. And the cookies are long gone. We dare not get on the scale in fear of what we may see, and the thought of checking the bank account is deadly.

All signs that it is the end of year. It has been rough one some and blessed for others. I sip here drinking Chai tea latte, while Wallice and Gromit plays in the back ground, trying to catch a few moments before the children wake for the day.
Don't ya love those awkward expression  babies make?
My year ends with my son turning 1 years old and my daughter being fully trained. It was one of my roughest years, but also one with a lot of silver lined stormy clouds and peaceful moments.  It is a  bittersweet ending.

This is a painting I just started from a picture I found online. Inspired by the new Hobbit movie.

But onward to New Years. Always a new day tomorrow, but now a fresh start too a new year this time around This years resolution is to be more health conscious, but also invest some time into my art work. I already started, but I feel like I lost some of passion for art and now wish to get back into it.

I hope you can also look forward to a new year. Find something that inspires you Go and look forward to something new. It can be as simple as trying a new food or going back to school. Find something to aspire too and take a chance.

Blessings and love
